Tuesday, August 23,2016 is the day of the year that Black Women have to work to earn what a non-hispanic white male earned in 2015. That’s ridiculous. On average, Black women are paid 63% of the dollar men are paid. The pay gap for Black women amounts to approx. $877K annually compared to white, non-Hispanic men. The pay gap typically grows with age.
Black women are overrepresented at the low-paying end of the wage spectrum, and are underrepresented at the top of the wage spectrum.
