New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs along with the provinces chief medical officer of health Dr. Jennifer Russell provided an update Friday on the latest information regarding the new coronavirus response.
For the ninth straight day, the province recorded no new cases of COVID-19 and there is only a single remaining active case. However, officials reminding everyone heading into the long weekend to continue practicing proper social distancing and abide by the two-house bubble rules in place.
The province has had a total of 120 confirmed cases since the outbreak.
Daycares in the province will be permitted to open on Tuesday, provided they follow a number of public health restrictions including temperature checks for all staff and children entering the facility each day.
