In my work with my good friends at Prison Fellowship I was made aware that pregnant women in the Prison population are counted among the vulnerable members of our society losing their lives as we endure the COVID-19 global pandemic, including the tragic case of Native American woman Andrea Circle Bear. Andrea was the first woman in the Bureau of Prisons to lose her life to COVID-19. She was pregnant. Thankfully, her baby survived.
